April 8th – Server move update

The new server is online and BroncosForums.com has been moved.

When you go to http://www.BroncosForums.com if you are still getting the message stating that BroncosForums is being moved, it is because your ISP does not update their DNS (domain names) according to the internet standards. These ISPs typically update their DNS information every 4-24 hours, and therefore it could take up to 24 hours before you will be able to reach the new BroncosForums server.

April 7th – BroncosForums being moved to new, upgraded server

Beginning at midnight, April 7th, continuing into the morning of Sunday, April 8th, BroncosForums is being moved to a new, faster server.

This will result in several hours of downtime over night. I will post further updates here.

BroncosForums is being upgraded to vBulletin 4.1.11

BroncosForums is in the process of being upgraded. This is a major upgrade that will bring BroncosForums up to the latest version of vBulletin.

This updated is expected to last 3-5 hours.

Server Down – Network issue

There server has been offline for about 35 minutes or so. There is a network problem of some kind at the data center where the server is located. They have said it should be resolved soon.

Server is offline, there has been a support ticket in with the datacenter for 30 minutes, still trying to find out what’s going on.

Update — Server should be back up in about 1 hour

The datacenter where the server is located had to replace a Power Distribution Unit, because monitoring showed a fault. They sent an email to me yesterday, but it went into spam. The server should be back up around 1:00 Central time.

Server is down

I’m not sure what the issue is. I just received a page saying the server was down and have contacted the support company to reboot and investigate. Assuming no major problems, the server will be up in 5-10 minutes.

The server is backup, but there is a DB error

The server is back online, but one vBulletin table appears to be corrupted. We are attempting to repair that table.

Broncosforums.com is down — Possible attack

The server is currently down. It was experiencing some unusual traffic, that was probably an attack of some kind. The support company is attempting to get the server back online now.

Upgrade is nearing completion

There was a little problem with the upgrade, but it will likely only be another 15-20 minutes.
